Face Frames
We use solid maple for painted face frames and alder for stained finishes. Maple takes paint well and its consistent color prevents “bleed through” which can affect the finished product. Alder has a pretty grain and takes stain color very well. In addition to maple and alder, we can work with just about any other species such as white/red oak, walnut, etc. if you want a specific look.
Cabinet Boxes
Boxes are the support structure of the cabinets, and we make ours with high-quality plywood; we do NOT use any particle board or MDF. The boxes are both screwed and glued together for added durability. Many shops use only staples or nails, which can allow the boxes to weaken.
Drawer Boxes
Our drawer boxes are made from plywood wood sides with a half-inch bottom. This is twice as thick as many shops use, to prevent the bottom from sagging or breaking out over time. Dovetail joints are available as an upgrade.
Doors and Drawer Fronts
Just like our face frames doors and drawer fronts are made from solid wood rails and stiles, along with high-quality panels for flat panel doors, and solid wood for raised panel doors. We can match just about any door style or profile you prefer.
Paint and Stain Finishes
Our finishes are a two-part conversion varnish specially formulated for durability in the cabinet industry. We apply at least 3 coats to build up the finish for added durability. We can color match paint to any Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore color and can color match to any stain sample you have in mind. We also offer glazing and distressing.
Drawer Slides and Hinges
High quality soft close hinges and drawer slides provide smooth, quiet operation of door and drawers for many years.
